Rick Perry: What went wrong?

The Big Question is what went wrong? Why did Rick Perry drop out? No one really knows. What we do know is that he is throwing his voters Gingrich's way. Sunday morning comes up with their five reasons Rick Perry dropped out on Thursday.
*1. They believe he was not ready for the prime time.
" The Texas governor entered the presidential race in August as the biggest threat to Mitt Romney, a longtime governor of a job-rich state who could raise oodles of money and unite the Tea Party and evangelical base with the establishment." He started off good but he could not stand the lime light. When he debated Perry sort of looked like a deer caught in headlights.

*2. Old scandels came back to haunt him:
Perry signed a executive order mandating middle school girls to get the HPV test. This does not sit well with his concervative followers and Michele Bachmann made sure he did not live it down. This hurt him with the voters he actually counted on.

*3. Paid media did not do the job:
He spent a great deal on ads in Iowa and it did not help him at all. He finished in fifth despite the time and money he put into the media.

*4. Focus on social issues did not pay off:
Gingrich put so much emphasis on social issues and it failed. The people cared more about the economy than social issues. I guess that he did not check his issues polls.

*5. Campaign disarray:
Perry never declared his identity in the race. His personal camp was a big mess. His camp was not doing what they should have been. They didnt send out messages really and tell him how to deal with attacks.

If Rick Perry came back in four years with a better team and organization he could have a chance.
